William Hill, one of the world’s leading betting and gaming companies, is pleased to announce that it has launched its brand in the Swedish iGaming market with the rollout of a Kambi-powered sportsbook and a number of casino games under the WilliamHill.se domain.
The company rebranded its Redbet.se site which was acquired through its $294.3 million deal for MRG Group, owner of Redbet’s parent company Evoke Gaming, in order to launch in Sweden.
Patrick Jonker, the Managing Director at William Hill International, commented on the launch by saying that this is an important milestone in William Hill’s International journey.
Jonker went on to say that through fantastic teamwork between their teams in Malta, United Kingdom and Sweden, they have released William Hill’s first new locally licensed offering since the year 2011. He added that following this initial launch, they look forward to continue improving the product through additional features and functionalities over the coming months.
According to William Hill, it had leveraged the experience of the MRG team so as to enter new markets for the venture, as well as Evoke’s Swedish operating license, which was granted in December of last year.
The new Kambi-powered sportsbook has been assigned for the market, and features odds on sports that are popular in the country such as ice hockey, football, trotting as well as floor ball, winter sports and bandy. It also features a vast portfolio of slots and table games, including a range of exclusive live casino tables, with games that include Monopoly Live, Vegas Speed Roulette and Lightning Roulette.
