The merger between the PGA Tour and the Saudi backed LIV Golf Tour which was announced last week will now be investigated by the US Senate. The announcement of the potential merger caught the golf community off-guard as the two parties succeeded in keeping details of the potential merger out of the media until the deal was done.
The golf community was shocked to see the PGA Tour do a complete U-turn by dropping all lawsuits against the LIV Golf Tour and vice-versa to move ahead with a merger.
