Camelot, the company which runs the UK National Lottery, announced that it has extended its responsible gambling certifications.
For the fifth time, Camelot has achieved the European Lotteries Responsible Gaming Certification, and Level 4 of the World Lottery Association’s Responsible Gaming Certification.
The accreditations state that the operator maintains particularly high standards of protection and safety for its customers.
In the past few years, since it last achieved accreditation, Camelot has improved its responsible gambling policy, adding a new Healthy Play strategy. This encourages staff to commit to a healthy play framework, including training to identify problem gamblers.
Camelot has also committed to measure and evaluate its games for any potential risks and has even ordered an independent external review team to check out its game design process.
“We’re incredibly pleased to have achieved the European Lotteries and World Lottery Association’s Responsible Gaming Certifications for a fifth consecutive time,” noted Camelot chief executive Nigel Railton. “At the end of this cycle, it will be a decade-and-a-half that we’ve held these highly respected certifications.”
“We take a lot of pride in that, as well as the fact that we’ve been accredited from day one of the inception of the certifications. We firmly believe that this sets us apart and evidences our leadership role in this space.”
