TonyBet is officially joining the Dutch gaming market after being granted a license to operate by the country’s gaming regulator. Kansspelautoriteit. The international online gaming company can now offer its services to Dutch customers under the Remote Gambling Act (KOA), as it continues its European expansion.
TonyBet Enters the Dutch Gaming Market
The domain name that TonyBet will use for its Dutch operations is still unknown, but Kansspelautoriteit said that once the operator confirms its domain, the public will immediately have access to this particular information via the Netherlands’ online gambling guide, Kansspelwijzer. The license will be valid for five years, expiring on November 14, 2027.
Kansspelautoriteit is keen on welcoming new online gambling operators into the country but also takes a tough stance against violators. It recently warned existing licensees to fully comply with their license obligations after it discovered breaches of the country’s anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws.
TonyBet Eyes European Expansion
TonyBet’s entry into the Dutch online gaming market is in line with the company’s goal of boosting its presence in Europe. To get things started, it signed a multi-nation content deal with iGaming software provider iSoftBet back in September. TonyBet invested €1.5 million in a platform that would enable it to operate in the Netherlands.
