The professional poker pro, Tony G. (Antanas Guoga) has won the biggest pot in online poker history. The massive $7.75 million win took place at the cryptocurrency based CoinPoker which regularly attracts high stakes poker players.

The big win was achieved in a $5K/$10K Pot-Limit Omaha game with two other players up against Tony G: HannibalGetya and Chattahoochee.

The online poker room was already on everyone’s radar after Tony G. and Leon Tsoukernik (King’s Resort owner) played for a $1.8 million pot last month. Since then, multiple $2 million pots and six-figure flips have taken place at the site. High profile players such as Laszlo Jujtas and Timofey Kuznetsov have added to the action and players are flocking to CoinPoker to watch as things unfold.

Tony G. has long advocated for a greater use of cryptocurrency in the online gaming sphere. As a politician with the European Parliament, he has spoken in favor of Bitcoin, and has established a blockchain center in Lithuania, where he was born.

He has appeared on ESPN’s World Series of Poker broadcasts and during his poker career he’s made five WSOP final tables and cashed 20 times for over $1.6 million during the series. He has also cashed over half a million dollars in the World Poker Tour. During casino tournaments, he has raked in more than $7.6 million.
