Score Media and Gaming, a division of Canadian media business theScore, will be launching mobile sports betting in Colorado via a new partnership with gaming operator Jacobs Entertainment Inc. (JEI).
In terms of the new deal that was agreed with a subsidiary of JEI, Score Media and Gaming will roll out its theScore Bet mobile sports wagering application in the state later this year.
A percentage of the revenue that is derived from theScore Bet’s operations in Colorado, will be received by JEI – subject to an initial upfront fee and certain annual minimum guarantee amounts.
The deal is also subject to theScore obtaining all the relevant licenses and approvals from the Colorado Division of Gaming and will initially operate for a term of 10 years which will be extendable for two successive five-year terms at theScore’s option.

Garcia, the Vice President of Colorado operations at JEI, commented that theScore’s sports app is already one of the most popular in North America and with theScore Bet, they are now leading the way in the integration of digital media and sports betting to deliver a revolutionary and holistic experience for fans.
John Levy, theScore Founder and Chief Executive Officer added that they cannot wait to introduce theScore Bet to fans in Colorado later this year. He added that they have already seen exciting early momentum from their mobile sportsbook in their launch state of New Jersey.
