Major online sportsbooks have gained a foot in the door of Wyoming’s fledgling sports betting market, as the state handed out licenses last week.

DraftKings rolled out its product, making Wyoming the 13th state to offer this platform for local gamblers.

The co-founder and president of DraftKings, Matt Kalish noted that legalized sports betting in the US has seen widespread growth in just three years, and, according to him, DraftKings Sportsbook has been at the center of the action.

“We are thrilled that Wyoming sports bettors have the opportunity to experience the highly accessible and immersive fan experience along with best-in-class consumer protections that our product offers millions of skin-in-the-game sports fans,” he added.

BetMGM has also debuted its mobile and online sports betting products in the Cowboy State, with the CEO, Adam Greenblatt, saying the group is “ecstatic” to be one of the first to launch in Wyoming, just in time to meet the demands of football season.

Although sports betting was legalized in the state in April, 2021, it officially launched on September 1st with the passing of House Bill 0133.

“Wyoming is an important state for us as we continue to expand BetMGM’s footprint in the West. We’re confident that its sports fans will enjoy the BetMGM experience,” added Greenblatt.
