Satellite Information Services (SIS), has terminated agreements that it had in place with third parties to distribute its data and will now be the sole supplier to the online betting industry for data on UK and Irish horse and greyhound racing.

The arrangement will see SIS provide data for Irish horse racing and UK horse racing from 20 courses, as well as UK greyhound racing, in addition to international horse racing from Germany, Latin America, Dubai and Singapore.

With racing data no longer available to customers through other suppliers, it will now be necessary for them to agree supply deals through SIS in order to continue with the services.

Paul Witten, Commercial Director of SIS, revealed that this is a significant step forward for SIS, and will enable more direct interactions with end customers and open the door for new and exciting services.  Witten also said that in order to facilitate the initiative, their commercial and technical teams are geared up and ready to initiate the new commercial agreements and the required feed integrations.

Witten went on to say that SIS is currently in discussions with other data providers in order to agree transitional arrangements to minimize the impact of these changes on affected customers and to ensure that all customers can safely and effectively migrate over to the new services.

Part of SIS’ strategic endeavor to build content in the online data market will see SIS customers now having access to pricing services that include early prices with derivatives soon becoming available, as well as enhanced data services that include form and tipping.
