Scientific Games Corporation recently announced that it has appointed Kevin M. Sheehan, former Chief Executive Officer and President of Norwegian Cruise Line, as the company’s new CEO and President.  Sheehan will also serve on Scientific Games’ board of directors with immediate effect.

Gavin Isaacs, the current CEO and President at Scientific Games will now become Vice Chairman of the board of directors.

Isaacs revealed that they are currently one company with three strong businesses, namely gaming, lottery and interactive.  He added that their integration is behind them and their business strategies are delivering solid results and with their momentum building, he is moving from an operational leadership position to a more strategic role as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Isaacs went on to welcome their new CEO and President, Kevin Sheehan on behalf of his colleagues and the Board.  He also said that this is the right time to grow their leadership team and have someone of Kevin’s talent, experience and financial acumen to take them to the next phase of growth and innovation.

Sheehan joins the company from Norwegian Cruise Line where he served as CEO and President for a period of seven years.  He led the development and expansion of the company and presided over strong sales and EBITDA growth as well as its initial public offering (IPO), which was one of the most successful IPOs in the year 2013.

Before joining Norwegian Cruise Line, Sheehan worked at Cerberus Capital Management as a senior adviser in the assessment of multi-billion acquisition targets and leading the acquisition of Hertz from Ford at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
