Scientific Games is thrilled to announce that it has boosted its global suite of sports technology, services and content by acquiring SportCast, the pioneer of sports betting experiences that encompass outright betting, through to pre-match and in-play.
SportCast was founded in 2013 and is hugely recognized as the leader in sports betting play engagement through its product experiences, technologies and pricing.
SportCast offers a number of engagement tools, but has become best known for BetBuilder, allowing for players to bet on multiple markets within the same game. Scientific Games has noted that single-game multiples have grown at a rapid pace across North America as legal betting has spread across the country.
Keith O’Loughlin, the Executive Vice President for Sports at Scientific Games, commented that for sports fans, the ability to define the story of the game, bet on it and watch it live has become a thrilling way to engage in the action.
O’Loughlin added that SportCast’s technology and platforms will help them fuel the next wave of their data-driven, global sports expansion.
He also said that the award-winning BetBuilder product is just the first of many innovative products that can be powered by the underlying platform for the benefit of their customers and they are thrilled to be able to roll these out.
