While PokerStars hasn’t made an official announcement of its new online qualification system, teasers have suggested that the biggest online poker room in the world will soon make an official launch of its PowerPath – online qualification system.
PowerPath – New Way To Qualify
This new online qualification system will give players an exciting way to accumulate points and qualify for big tournaments, especially live poker tournaments. PokerStars has already released the branding for PowerPath which looks similar to the old Power Up game.
PowerPath will be open to all players irrespective of their skill levels and is likely to be built around a progressive step based methodology. PokerStars has continued to experiment with different online qualification systems to get players to qualify and participate in its PokerStars Live! Tour.
There is a possibility that the new PowerPath system could be a mix of the Mega Path system used in the past and the Kick-Off system. PokerStars is yet to confirm an official date as to when the new PowerPath system will come into effect.
PokerStars is likely to test out the new PowerPath system in certain markets before it rolls it out globally.
