Playtech, a London-listed iGaming technology provider, has entered into a new strategic partnership that will see it provide its iGaming and Sports Betting platform to Canada’s NorthStar Gaming.

In terms of the agreement Playtech will roll out its IMS Platform, Casino, Live Casino, Bingo and Poker technology for the launch of NorthStar in Ontario.

The new partnership will also provide NorthStar with the technology platform to provide its customers with a Canadian-focused online casino and sports betting experience once regulatory approvals and licensing processes have been completed.

Final iGaming, sports and event betting regulatory standards were released in Ontario in October and it is now getting ready to open the province to private competition.
