The online casino software provider and games developer, Playtech, has entered into a long-term partnership with Portuguese casino operator, Solverde Group. This marks an expansion into Portugal’s gambling market for Playtech.

Under the terms of the agreement, Playtech will provide its games and products to the Solverde Group’s online casino arm, CasinoSolverde.pt. The online casino was launched in 2017 and is one of several gaming sites in the group’s portfolio, which also incorporates five land-based casinos and four hotels.

The chief operating officer of Playtech, Shimon Akad said that the group was pleased to see its technology continuing to serve as the infrastructure of choice in competitive and complex markets such as Portugal.

“This deal highlights the continued strength of our data driven platform to offer integrated solutions to operators and we hope to announce further successes in regulated markets soon,” said Akad

Also commenting was a board member for Solverde, Manuel Silva Carvalho, who said that it was an exciting moment for the local casino operator.  He said the group was pleased to partner with Playtech to bring its industry leading casino offering to the Portuguese audience. He said that Solverde was confident that the deal would be a driver of growth for both businesses in Portugal.
