Playtech became the first software company to have its content launched in an online casino in the Czech Republic. The group’s online and mobile slots, table games and more were integrated onto the Fortuna platform, following the inking of a deal in August last year. The companies partnered together to have Playtech’s games go live the Czech Republic’s newly regulated online casino industry.
The chief operating officer of Playtech, Shimon Akad said that the group was delighted to be the first supplier to go live in the Czech Republic with its “pioneering omnichannel platform technology and best performing casino content and to further expand Fortuna’s offering in this newly regulated market.”
Akad said that Playtech prides itself on being leaders in regulated markets. “Today’s announcement highlights just how we always aim to lead the way,” he added.
Fortuna said that it was proud to be the first company in the country to have met the demanding conditions defined by the new legislation and to be granted a license as a result. “Broadening our product range to complement our sports betting offering is a major priority,” said the general manager of the company, David Vanek.
The GM said that Fortuna was very pleased that its customers would be the first to play online roulette and casino games that were in full compliance with legislation in the Czech Republic.
