Paf, a leading Aland Islands based operation has announced that it has launched a revamp of its horse racing betting offering by extending its partnership with Sweden’s AB Travoch Galopp (ATG) and entering into a technology deal with Betmakers.

The launch will see Paf’s existing agreements with ATG upgraded but it will continue to serve as an international sales agent for the former Swedish monopoly.  Although the races previously covered by Paf will continue to be available, the coupons, betting receipts and system for shared bets will not remain the same.

Sari Venho, Paf’s key Accounts Manager, commented on the launch by saying that there will be some new features to learn for the customers, but it will also be a simplification when the amount of coupons will decrease and larger winnings can be redeemed at Paf’s office in the future, which was not possible before.

The technology powering the offering will be moved to Betmaker’s gaming systems, while terminals will be rolled out in the five horse race betting locations on the Aland Islands.

Janik Svahnstrom, head of new sales at Paf said this will be a completely new approach for Paf’s part, meaning that their Aland agents can continue to offer ATG’s range of trotting betting to all customers on Aland.

Svahnstrom also said he wanted to thank all their customers and gaming agents who have had a really good understanding and patience with the launch of the new gaming system.

Paf acquired Sweden-facing gambling brands Speedy and Speedy Originals from Hero Gaming in August 2021.
