Paddy Power, the biggest bookmaker in Ireland, has revealed that it has signed up to the Bookmaker’s Afternoon Greyhound Service (BAGS) in an endeavor to strengthen its service offering across its land-based network.
The deal signed between the parties will see BAGS greyhound fixtures now being broadcast on the Paddy Power in-house television channel across the bookmaker’s 631 shops.
The Racing Partnership has drawn up its greyhound fixture list in collaboration with BAGS that covers 1,619 across 12 greyhound tracks in the United Kingdom.
David Newton, the Managing Director for Retail at Paddy Power Betfair commented on the deal by saying that Paddy Power is delighted to have entered into this agreement with BAGS so as to ensure that customers have access to a broader range of quality greyhound racing content.
Mark Kingston, the Director of The Racing Partnership added that they are extremely delighted that Paddy Power has joined other betting shop operators in being able to show the Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Service greyhound fixtures on their television channels.
Kingston went on to say that the BAGS schedule comprises more than 1,600 fixtures per year from well-known tracks with a proven record of integrity and welfare. He added that this is a further vindication of the value of the BAGS brand and all that it stands for.
