Betdaq, a leading online betting exchange, has entered into a deal in terms of which it will become the principal partner of Sunderland AFC.

The agreement will see the company’s brand appear across the Black Cats’ home and away shirts with Betdaq utilizing the partnership to offer Sunderland fans engaging online content, special offers and ‘behind-the-scenes’ access to their football club.

Founded in the year 2000, Betdaq is part of the GVC Group, along with other leading brands which include Gala Coral and Ladbrokes.

Since its launch, the betting exchange has become one of the largest online betting exchange companies in the United Kingdom and the world’s largest betting exchange technology provider.

Betdaq brings sports traders from around the world together to bet against one another, instead of using odds set by a bookmaker. The punter-friendly betting exchange matches over £75m worth of bets per week and offers customers a simple, flat-rate 2% commission across all sports and markets.

Tony Davison, Sunderland AFC’s Managing Director, commented that they are delighted to welcome BETDAQ to their Sunderland family. He added that from day one, they have demonstrated a real enthusiasm and desire to work with the club.

Davison also said that their partnership will be cemented with the reveal of the new ‘home and away’ kits next week and they very much look forward to working closely with Betdaq over the coming months.

Commercial Director at Betdaq, Tom Sloanes, added that opportunities to partner with a football club the size of Sunderland AFC rarely come along, so they had no hesitation to act when it became a possibility.
