Frankfort Xetra-listed European sports betting operator mybet has revealed that it will expand its services for Ghanaian punters by adding online facilities to its established retail offering in the African country, allowing Ghana betting consumers to bet at mybet.com.
Until now, mybet has been operating retail betting services in Ghana via a B2B partnership with a local business partner and have proved to be very successful, resulting in the opening of over 120 betting outlets.
Markus Peuler, Chief Executive Officer of Mybet Holdings SE revealed in a Frankfurt stock exchange advisory this week that, owing to rapid growth, the Mybet brand used by their partner has become one of the market leaders in sports betting in the country.
Peuler went on to say that they now want to expand on this success together with their partner. He also said that from their perspective, there is currently no online sports betting offering in Ghana that is able to compete with the quality and safety of mybet and they are, therefore, convinced that the brand can reach market leadership in Ghana in the mid-term.
The Management Board feels that the online business will have a powerful positive effect on the economic development of the group segment B2B within a few months. Therefore, in addition to the B2B activities in Austria that was already started in August, mybet Group’s extremely profitable group segment B2B will gain another growth driver.
The mybet Group is licensed in a number of European countries to offer sports betting and online casino games. The group has its registered office in Berlin and locations in Cologne and Malta.
