The Overtones, the UK’s number one vocal harmony group, will once again be performing live at the Villa Marina on Saturday, 18th March 2017 in aid of Manx charity Junior Achievement.
The show is being supported by Microgaming through its PlayItForward initiative and tickets will go on sale at the Villa Marina box office within the next few days at a cost of £35 for tiered seating and £39 for table seats.
Sue Cook, Chief Executive of Junior Achievements said that it is clear that the Manx public simply love The Overtones. She added that this will be the fourth time the boys will have performed to help raise funds for their charity. Cook also said that their last visit was in 2015 and that since then they have been inundated with calls and emails about when the boys would be returning.
The group have celebrated six consecutive top 10 UK albums since landing a recording deal with Warner Music in the summer of 2010.
Claire Coleman, head of Microgaming PlayItForward, commented on the event by saying that when the opportunity came about to support Junior Achievement again, they could not say no. She went on to say that this event is an exciting addition to their extensive PlayItForward program, raising money for an excellent cause. Coleman also said that they are eagerly waiting to see The Overtones in action in March.
All the money raised from the performance will go towards supporting Junior Achievement’s work-readiness programs in schools all over the island.
