Isle of Man-based Microgaming is working with The Lisa Lowe Center in order to provide its staff with important mental health awareness training as part of the company’s Employer Pledge with Time to Change.
Microgaming signed its Employer Pledge with Time to Change in October of last year. The campaign, that endeavors to end mental health discrimination, outlined a range of commitments by the company to create a happier, healthier workplace, from raising awareness of mental health across the business to introducing fully trained mental health first aiders.
Microgaming is continuing to enhance its pledge by working with The Lisa Lowe Center to deliver customized wellbeing and mental health awareness training to Dervico and Microgaming line managers.
The charity has been running the workshop to train managers on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and also to provide them with constructive strategies to support their team members and colleagues.
Together with the awareness training, Microgaming and Derivco staff will also gain access to mental health sessions over the following few months that will focus on mental health disorder awareness, common stressors and coping tools, with the purpose of erasing the stigma around mental health.
Microgaming PlayIt|Forward recognized the Center’s important contribution by making a £6,000 donation to The Lisa Lowe Center to support its continuing work on the Isle of Man.
