Proving its commitment to corporate and social responsibility, the online casino software giant, Microgaming, has sent a team from its PlayItForward charity initiative to take part in the 2019 Deloitte Ride Across Britain. The nine day cycling challenge crosses nearly 1,000 miles of the country. Each rider commits to raising at least GBP 2,200. As such, Microgaming hopes to raise GBP 15,400 for the Prince’s Trust charity.
According to senior CSR manager at Microgaming, Kate Moughtin: “The RAB challenge is a fantastic opportunity for Microgaming PlayItForward to widen its scope, and help support a major UK charity such as the Prince’s Trust, who give young people a second chance to not only succeed but make a difference.”
All the members of the PlayItForward team are Microgaming employees. They include Neille Whyte who is head of business development at the Isle of Man-based group.
Whyte said that the Race Across Britain event is an excellent cause and a great challenge for the team.
“To be able to ride the length of Britain is a bucket list item for me, and for such a great cause is a bonus too,” he said.
Microgaming’s PlayItForward is a community-driven initiative which focuses on health, charity, sport and education. It was launched in 2014 by the group on the Isle of Man and provides a lifeline for many on the island.
