Microgaming is thrilled to reveal that it has won Digital Product of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards for the third year running. The award was given for its innovative, multi-operator platform Quickfire.
The 2016 Global Gaming Awards that was held at the Venetian Palazzo Congress Centre in Las Vegas on Monday, 26th September 2016 celebrated the year’s triumphs in digital and land-based gaming and presented 12 awards recognizing industry achievements. The winners were selected by a panel of 60 expert judges casting their vote.
Gambling Insider Editor, Alex Hammond, presented Microgaming with the Digital Product of the Year award and congratulated the company, saying that it was one of the biggest names in the digital supply industry that has once again had a tremendous year, spearheaded by this year’s digital product of the year – Quickifre.
Judges in the 2016 Global Gaming Awards praised Quickfire’s impact in the digital gaming industry as a whole in 2016.
Andrew Clucas, Director of Quickfire, commented on the award by saying that this win highlights the amazing progress of Quickfire since launching in 2010. He added that the platform has emerged as the product of choice for operators who require immediate access to the best online gaming content from Microgaming and select development partners. Clucas went on to say that it is great to see the industry celebrate the content, flexibility and innovation of Quickfire.
The Microgaming Poker Network (MPN’s) Babelfish API was named runner-up at the event in the Digital Gaming Innovation category. Babelfish brings more variety to the MPN and has become the biggest B2B poker network in the world.
