Microgaming, the world’s largest provider of online gaming software, has announced that it has launched its popular Thunderstruck II video slot to its Android and iOS compatible Mobile Air client.
Thunderstruck II was originally launched by Microgaming in May, 2010 on the casino platform and was the very first online video slot to apply gamification via a groundbreaking player performance memory system which records players’ past wins and allows for a collective quest for rewards.
Thunderstruck II online video slot is highly sought after and well known to players for its fantastic graphics and memorable characters and this same quality and performance will be delivered to players through the Mobile Air client.
Thunderstruck II optimizes the device’s hardware and makes use of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) directly in order to greatly improve the graphics and speed of the game. This allows the game to offer players a highly developed, interesting gaming experience through engaging animations and seamless playability.
According to the head of product channels at Microgaming, Neill Whyte, the use of hardware acceleration is changing the way that they develop their games for the mobile arena. Whyte added that it gives them an opportunity to put their world leading game titles onto the mobile platform and to incorporate all of the graphics, features and effects that contribute to making the slot such a hit on the PC platform. Whyte also said that Thunderstruck II is arguably one of their most popular and successful games which is, therefore a great new addition to their Mobile Air client.
