Isle of Man-based gaming software specialist Microgaming has teamed up with Switch Studios, a new independent game studio, in terms of which the studio will develop content exclusively for the Isle of Man-based online gaming supplier.
The Ipswich-based games studio will be developing a range of special content for the online supplier, with the aim of creating “a new generation of table games for Microgaming operators, complete with ‘customizable components that deliver tailor-made experiences for a new level of play”.
Tom David, the Head of Studio at Switch Studios, commented on the deal by saying that they believe their background in the mobile, social and eGaming sectors puts them in an excellent position to bring innovation and style to the online table gaming sector.
David went on to say that their objective is to deliver the best selection of classic table games that players enjoy.
The first innovation set to premier is a new take on the classic game of roulette, together with 3D wheel and specifically optimized for mobile, within which it can be enjoyed in portrait as well as landscape modes.
Microgaming’s Chief Executive Officer, John Coleman, said that bringing Switch Studios into the fold ensures they have a dedicated resource for innovating and enhancing their table games offering.
Coleman also said that the team have already demonstrated a facility for producing stylish and sophisticated casino games, that are highly original and entertaining, and he is looking forward to developing this side of their range even further in the coming months.
Microgaming will be debuting Switch Studios and roulette at SiGMA between Wednesday, 28th and Friday, 30th November 2018.
