MGM Resorts International has officially entered the New Jersey online gaming market with the launch of its playMGM site.

The new site is the first iGaming site that the gaming company has lent its name to and is the second new online casino brand to go live in New Jersey this summer.  The online casino falls under the Borgata gaming license in the state.

The Casino has already gone live and offers casino as well as poker games through the site which was developed in conjunction with GVC Holdings.  The site offers in excess of 200 slot games as well as video poker, roulette, blackjack, craps and bingo which are playable on desktop as well as mobile devices.

There is also a playMGM-branded online poker room that will form part of the Borgata/Play Poker NJ network.  The network shares liquidity across all skins with the only difference for the playMGM version being the branding/look.

Corey Sanders, the Chief Operational Officer at MGM Resorts International, commented on the new launch by saying that they are thrilled to be entering the online gaming landscape in New Jersey with the expansion of their playMGM platform to include casino as well as poker games.

Sanders went on to say that the ability to effectively bring Las Vegas to New Jersey via an online experience is an exciting undertaking, especially as they continue to develop their presence on the East Coast with the recent acquisition of Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, the opening of MGM National Harbor and the pending 2018 opening of MGM Springfield in Massachusetts.
