Sports betting data API provider LSports has announced that it has launched a new simulated tennis product that will give sports books the opportunity to continue offering betting services during the period of the shutdown of traditional sports due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

The offering will enable bookmakers to operate while live tennis remains on suspension.  Sports books that have lost their tennis revenues completely without any timeline whatsoever as to when those might return are being given a lifeline with this product.

The Tennis Betting Simulator leverages LSports’ historical database which has cataloged more than a million different tennis matches and associated statistics down to every point.

Each match reveals its original pre-match and in-play odds, with users having a chance to view an image that mirrors the exact action that took place on the court with visualization features including heat-maps, ball movement and shot placements.

The date and time of the match, as well as player’s names and which event it took place in have all been changed with each match using distorted names of top active and hall of fame players instead.

Shaul Lazarm Co-Founder and Chief-Executive of LSports, commented that sports fans around the world are starved with nearly every league shutting down operations indefinitely.   He added that their Tennis Betting Simulator can help satiate that hunger and allow sports gambling enthusiasts to partake in the hobby while leagues’ doors remain closed.

Lazarm also said that they have created a system that precisely redevelops historical tennis matches while maintaining their integrity, providing sports books a solution that will re-open tennis revenues.
