LaLiga, the top tier of Spanish soccer, has announced that it has entered into an agreement with ManBetX, a Malta-based sports betting operator, in terms of which it will become the official betting partner in Asia for Spain’s LaLiga football organization as from the new season in September of this year.
The agreement signed by the parties will cover the upcoming 2018/19 season and is part of the league’s endeavor to further establish itself in one of the world’s fastest growing and powerful markets.
LaLiga is expanding its regional partnerships extremely fast, based on the success of the league in broadcast markets and the fact that the Spanish teams are extremely popular in European competitions, with the two Madrid teams, Real and Atletico, having won the Champions League and the Europa League this season.
Gregory Bolle, Head of International Marketing at LaLiga, issued a press statement commenting on the agreement saying that Asia is one of their fastest growing markets and this partnership will, therefore, help them engage once more with millions of Asian LaLiga fans.
Bolle went on to say that due to the exceptional sporting results of LaLiga clubs on the European scene, Spanish football continues to be the ultimate reference worldwide and it is logical that LaLiga partner up with a leading and ambitions brand such as ManBetX
Bolle also said that their deal with LaLiga will help them to expand, not only the football competition’s brand in Asia, but also grow the brand of ManBetX.
