Ladbrokes Coral Group, is thrilled to reveal that it has secured a new media rights deal with The Racing Partnership (TRP) … a joint venture between UK racecourse owner and operator Arena Racing Company (ARC) and another seven independent racecourses in the United Kingdom.
The new agreement, which has already come into effect, will see Ladbrokes Coral’s network of 3,820 betting shops all over the United Kingdom and Ireland being in a position to show live coverage of horse racing from the ARC’s 15 racecourses as well as from the seven independent venues.
The deal that was signed between the parties will also include coverage of South African Racing events. Ladbrokes, Coral at Betdaq also have plans in place to re-commence the streaming of The Racing Partnership content in the near future.
Jim Mullen, the Chief Executive Officer at Ladbrokes Coral, commented on the new deal by saying that horseracing is part of their heritage and, despite the vast choice of sports to bet on in the modern era, it remains a core product for their business, and it is, therefore, a positive development that once again all their customers, in shops and online, can enjoy a full range of horse-racing.
The Chief Executive Officer of the ARC, Martin Cruddace, added that they are thrilled to have agreed this deal with Ladbrokes Coral. He also said that it is testament to the symbiotic nature of racing and betting that they have been able to agree a deal based on sound commercial principles for both parties.
