Leading sports betting technology supplier Kambi has revealed that it has extended its footprint in the regulated Italian market after Greentube, a subsidiary of Novomatic, launched the supplier’s sportsbook with its Italy-facing StarVegas online casino brand.

StarVegas, one of Italy’s top 10 casino brands in terms of market share, completed the integration of Kambi’s sportsbook last week which resulted in the sportsbook being live with several prominent online gaming operators in the dot.it market which include 888, LeoVegas’ Winga brand and Kindred Group’s flagship Unibet sportsbook.

In terms of the agreement signed by the parties, StarVegas will promote the sportsbook product with an “above the line” campaign utilizing TV and printed media, while it also plans to increase its presence on digital marketing channels.

This new launch is the second of its kind between Greentube and Kambi and follows a partnership agreement completed between them earlier. Greentube’s Admiral Brand launched the Kambi Sportsbook in Romania in July of this year.

Krstian Nylen, the CEO at Kambi, issued a statement announcing the deal saying that he is thrilled to see the Kambi Sportsbook go live with Greentube’s esteemed StarVegas brand in Italy, enhancing their position in a leading end-to-end sportsbook supplier in the market.

Nylen went on to say that this strategic partnership has great potential to turn Greentube into an important pan-European sportsbook player alongside its already successful casino brands, highlighting the scalability of the Kambi Sportsbook.

The new launch follows Kambi being selected to provide Bularia’s National Lottery with its premium sportsbook and the signing of a long-term extension to its agreement with 888sport.
