Scientific Games (SG) has announced that it has signed a Sports Betting Supply Deal with American betting Group Golden Nugget, in terms of which it will provide its solutions, including OpenGaming and OpenSports to the casino operator across multiple states.
The agreement between the parties will run through 2024 (and possibly beyond) and will cover Golden Nugget across multiple states, with more being added as sports betting is regulated and legalized on an individual basis.
The suite will initially be worked into New Jersey and Pennsylvania and it appears as though the New Jersey platform will be managed by a SG subsidiary, Don Best Sports.
Scientific Games and Golden Nugget have worked together since 2015 when the Open Gaming platform was worked into the Golden Nugget online platform.
Thomas Winter, the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Online Gaming for Golden Nugget, commented that they have a long history with Scientific Games, and their technology is a cornerstone of their sports betting and iGaming strategy. He added that they are thrilled to continue working with them to bring a consistent and best-in-class experience to their players across multiple products, nationwide.
Jordan Levin, Group Chief Executive, Digital for Scientific Games, said that following Golden Nugget’s transition to their solutions, they look forward to launching Sports on top of their long-standing player account and iGaming relationship.
Levin also said that Golden Nugget has a wide player base across the US, having pioneered the iGaming space in New Jersey from its earliest days, and they are excited to power their sports betting and iGaming presence, providing a seamless and reliable end-to-end betting experience.
