The Association of European Professional Football Leagues (European Leagues) has extended its partnerships with data providers Sportradar, Stats Perform and Genius Sports that were originally formed in 2017, that will see the three companies gaining official access to in-stadia positions for the live collection of data to then provide to their betting operator customers.

Leagues and associations that are included in the extended deals are Australian Bundesliga, Belgium ProLeague, Czech Ligova Fotbalova Asociace, Danish Divisionsforeningen, Finnish Football League Association, Greek Super League, Israeli Professional Football League and the Professional Football League of Kazakhstan.

The extension will see the partnerships continuing for a further three seasons, ending in 2022, and also cover the Latvian Football Higher League, Norwegian Toppfotball, Serbian Super Lig, Swiss Football League, Dutch Eredivisie,  Liga Portugal, Romanian Liga Professionista de Fotbal and Swedish Foreningen Elitfotboll.

Steven Burton, Managing Director at Genius Sports, said the expanded partnership outlined his company’s commitment to ensuring a ‘fair and transparent’ return from betting on their games.

Burton added that each of the leagues included in this agreement has control over how their data is collected and distributed, affording vital visibility to safeguard their competitions.

Alex Rice, Chief Rights Officer at Stats Perform, added that the transparent and progressive approach taken by the European Leagues provide value and security for the member leagues and encourages the collection and distribution of high-quality fast data with the utmost integrity to the betting markets.
