William Hill will be launching its Mr. Green brand in Latvia and has entered into a long-term agreement with Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) to use its software platform for its entry into the Latvian market.
Mr. Green and GIG are already working together in the market, with the latter providing a sportsbook solution for local brand 11.lv, one of Latvia’s leading licensed online sports betting and casino operators, in which MRG Group acquired a 75% stake in May of last year.
GIG will supply a casino and sportsbook solution for Mr. Green’s Latvian debut and will also develop a customized front end for the offering.
Janis Tregers, Chief Executive of Mr. Green Latvia, commented that this is an exciting moment for the William Hill Group business in Latvia, where they move forward with their strategy to introduce a global brand such as Mr. Green to the market.
Tregers went on to say that they see it as the perfect complement to the locally, well-established 11.lv brand, also hosted on the GIG platform. He added that by working closely with GIG and leveraging their technology from product, compliance and other aspects, they have been able to propel 11.lv to second position among leading brands in the market and it is now time to make Mr. Green a similar success.
Richard Brown, Chief Executive Officer of GIG said that he is pleased to announce this expansion of their collaboration and partnership with Mr. Green.
Brown also said that Latvia is an interesting market for online gambling and they are looking forward to supporting Mr. Green’s growth with a strong, safe and entertaining product.
