Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) – the majority owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, the New Jersey Devils and EPL soccer team Crystal Palace, has entered into a multi-year betting deal in terms of which it has partnered with eSports betting operator Esports Entertainment Group.
HBSE also owns the eSports outfit Dignitas, a renowned brand in competitive video gaming that will promote Esports Entertainment’s person-to-person wagering site, VIE.gg. Matches on offer include StarCraft III, Hearthstone, Call of Duty, Dota 2, Global Offensive (CSGO), and Counter-Strike, among others.
Esports Entertainment recently announced that it has applied to be publicly listed on the Nasdaq and hopes to have its financing completed and all of its platforms fully functioning within the year.
Grant Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer at Esports Entertainment, commented that he is very proud of this new partnership with HBSE and their Dignitas eSports brand, which is founded in their shared common beliefs of player safety above all else.
Johnson went on to say that he is looking forward to sharing their incredible product with Dignitas’ highly engaged fan base over the next three years and beyond. He added that for Esports Entertainment Group, a partnership of this caliber is a significant milestone for their shareholders and tremendous validation of both their P2P eSports wagering model and future plans within the eSports world.
