DraftKings, a leading sports betting and daily fantasy sports operator, has announced that it has entered into a new data partnership with data catalog company Alation.
In terms of the agreement signed by the parties, DraftKings will utilize the Alation Data Catalog in order to leverage data to improve serve users across its sports wagering and fantasy sports products.
Alation has revealed that its Data Catalog will provide DraftKings’ data analysts and business users with a centralized, single source of reference for data discovery, collaboration and expanded knowledge-sharing.
Alation also said that the data will allow DraftKings to see the way users engage with its platforms, which in turn will help the operator to develop enhanced customer experiences and new product lines.
Paul Liberman, DraftKings’ President, Global Technology and Product, commented on the new deal by saying that data is the lifeblood of their organization and that they use Alation to better understand their data, improve onboarding of new employees and empower their teams with critical insights so as to build better products and features for their customers.
Satyen Sangani, the Chief Executive Officer at Alation, said that DraftKings is the perfect example of an agile organization that is embracing a data culture by increasing collaboration and data access, and driving trust in data.
Sangani went on to say that they are excited that Alation can play an important role in DraftKings’ success and in consumers’ enjoyment of their products.
