DNA Dynamics has revealed that its subsidiary, DNA Interactive, is in the process of working on a new sports betting platform with a focus on the United States after the Supreme Court early last month voted in favor of overturning the federal 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) which prevented more states from legalizing sports betting.
In terms of the recent ruling, states across the US will be able to individually pass legislation to legalize and regulate sports wagering within their boundaries.
Carl Grant, the Chief Executive Officer at DNA, commented that they have been patiently building their cash reserves and their game plan over the past few months and are now in a position to take the market by storm.
Grant went on to say that this latest forecast change in legislation in the United States is a game changer and has aligned with their plans perfectly. He added that having had little to offer shareholders in the way of updates for some time, they are now in a position to have a series of updates to the market which will outline their platform strategy; their chosen development partners and their go to market strategy and he is looking forward to sharing these with them very soon.
He also said that their strategy in this area is to build an online betting platform that allows players to create their own betting scenarios, where groups of users can wager against one another in all major Sporting competitions.
