YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul called out Conor McGregor earlier this week on social media and asked the MMA superstar to box him in what he termed could be a potential $100 million payday for both fighters.

McGregor turned down the offer and went on to insult Jake by claiming that he struggled to sell pay-per-views and was a nobody! Jake did not take the insult and the refusal to fight him well and ended up making a 2 minute video that included some very strong allegations!

Jake Accuses McGregor of Steroids and Infidelity

Jake initially made a comparison of his fight record and pay-per-view record after 5 fights and compared it to McGregor’s record after 5 fights. Based on those stats, it’s fair to say that Jake Paul is doing a lot better than McGregor after 5 fights. However, Jake went after McGregor personally by alleging that he was taking steroids and also included a short clip of McGregor in lying in bed with another woman!

Jake ended the video by asking McGregor to get off the alcohol, sign a contract to fight him and make close to $100 million. McGregor is yet to respond to the video but we can expect a reply soon!

Cricket South Africa (CSA) have made a bold decision to pull out of the ODI leg and cancel a 3 match ODI series against Australia in Jan 2023. CSA informed Cricket Australia (CA) that they were unable to work out the dates for the ODI series as CSA is promoting a new T20 league in South Africa and are giving it more priority than the ODI series as of now!

CSA Will Forfeit ODI Series 0-3

CSA have agreed to forfeit the ODI series to Australia 0-3 and concede full points to Australia. This is a big decision for CSA because they not only lose out on revenue from the ODI series cancellation but South Africa could not struggle to automatically qualify for the ODI World Cup.

South Africa currently sits in 11th place on the points table of the ICC World Cup Super League and are only ahead of Zimbabwe and the Netherlands. Only the top 8 teams will qualify automatically for the ICC ODI World Cup. The Proteas would have increased their chances of moving up the points table by winning the series or atleast one game against Australia in the ODI series.

CSA have confirmed that South Africa will play the test series in Australia!

BetQL, Network, the sports betting arm of the internet radio business, Audacy, has signed an exclusive, multi-year partnership with BetMGM.

BetMGM will become the network’s exclusive sportsbook, including the You Better Your Bet program (impending launch) and the current The Daily Tip, BetMGM Tonight and BetQL Daily.

As per Matt Prevost, chief executive officer of BetMGM:

“We’re excited to further our strategic partnership with Audacy and to bring our market-leading sports betting and gaming entertainment content to millions of listeners nationwide across the entire BetQL Network platform.”

The chairman, president and chief executive officer of Audacy, David Field, spoke about the BetQL Network, which launched in June 2021, explaining why the iconic brand was such a good fit for the network.

He said that Audacy was delighted to expand its strategic partnership with BetMGM, highlighted by its new exclusive position with the BetQL Network.

“Barely a year old, the BetQL Network has a bright future ahead of it as legalized sports betting continues to expand over the next decade,” he said.

The partnership covers sports betting across all broadcast portfolio and digital platforms.

In March last year, Audacy announced a non-exclusive partnership with BetMGM, designating the sportsbook as its preferred sports betting partner.

The first wagers have been placed online in Arkansas’ fledgling online sports betting market. Players have been able to place bets via Southland Casino Racing in West Memphis so far, but authorities expect a major expansion of the industry in the coming months.

Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff launched its online sportsbook last month, and Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort is expected to follow suit later this year.

A fourth sports book license has been awarded to Legends Resort & Casino, although the facility hasn’t been built yet. It is expected that the casino will partner with a large sportsbook to enter the state.

Online gambling is not a new phenomenon for local players in Arkansas. They have been playing at Daily Fantasy Sports sites such as FanDuel and DraftKings since it became legal to do in 2017.

The state approved online and mobile sports betting in February this year. It is legal to bet on all types of sports, including in-state college sports.

Arkansas was spurred to legalize and regulate its online gambling industry after seeing its neighbors, Tennessee and Louisiana, do the same.

Physical sportsbooks can each carry two mobile sportsbooks licenses.

The Arkansas Racing Commission oversees everything gambling-related in the state.  The legal age to place a bet on sports in the Natural State (both online and off) is 21 years of age.
