The Golden State Warriors were left embarrassed recently when Draymond Green was caught on video punching his teammate Jordan Poole in a practice session. This was no friendly or playful punch as Green resorted to physical violence against the 23 year old point guard.

Warriors Fines But Does Not Suspend Green

Draymond Green has spent his entire professional career with the Warriors and helped them to win four NBA championships. He is expected to play a key role yet again for the Warriors as they look to defend their NBA Championship but it looks like all is not well with Green.

The 32 year old Green released a statement and apologized to Poole and NBA fans for his behaviour. There was no explanation given as to why Green punched Poole but an apologetic Green said his behaviour was unacceptable. Green has decided to take some time away from the team and figure out a better way to deal with his emotions.

The Warriors have announced that they will take action against Green in the form of a financial penalty which remains undisclosed. The Warriors have decided not to suspend Green from any games which upset many fans as they feel the Warriors are being soft on Green!

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tried for years to host a Fight Night card in France but was unable to do so as France had banned the sports of mixed martial arts (MMA). That ban was lifted in 2020 but the UFC could not head to France due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The UFC has finally found the perfect time to visit Paris, France and host an exciting Fight Night card at the Accor Arena in Paris, France on Sep 3.

Gane vs. Tuivasa

The UFC is expecting a packed arena for its inaugural Fight Card which will be headlined by France’s biggest MMA superstar in heavyweight Ciryl Gane who will fight Aussie Tai Tuivasa. Gane is the former interim heavyweight champion who is coming off a loss to the current champ Francis Ngannou. 

Gane is the better technical fighter but Tuivasa has shown that he can change the fight with one big shot!

Other Exciting Fights 

MMA fans in France will be happy with this fight card as it features a number of exciting fighters such as Robert Whittaker vs. Marvin Vettori and Charles Jourdain vs. Nathaniel Wood.

If you are a Lebron James fan, you will be pleased to know that Lebron isn’t going to retire anytime soon. Lebron who will turn 38 in December signed a 2 year contract extension valued at $97.1 million to remain with the LA Lakers.

With the contract extension, we knew that Lebron was going to play for another two years at least but he recently confirmed that he is likely to play till 2027 which will put Lebron in the 42-43 year old category.

Lebron James Wants To Play With Youngest Son

Lebron has made it clear in the past that one of his goals is to play on the same team with his son Bronny James who is in his senior year in high school. Now Lebron has claimed that he is also looking to play with his youngest son Bryce who is just 15.

Lebron said that’s his goal and he will work towards maintaining his physical and mental fitness to play with not just one but both his sons before he calls time on his successful NBA career. With James has confirmed that he is interested to play till 2027, he hasn’t confirmed if he will stay with the Lakers after his 2 year contract ends.

YouTuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul was set to headline a fight card in Madison Square Garden on August 6 against Hasim Rahman Jr. That fight fell through and the card had to be cancelled which did not go down well with Jake Paul.

Jake (5-0) was keen on fighting once more before the end of the year and it looks like he will face his toughest opponent when he takes on former UFC middleweight champ Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva.

The two camps are currently in discussion to stage the fight on October 29 but no official contract has been signed as of now. Jake who is 25 years old is looking to fight the 47 year old Anderson Silva at middleweight – 185 pounds.

The Spider has had a successful run in the boxing ring after leaving the UFC. Anderson has beaten Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz in boxing in his last two fights and is set for a big payday if and when he fights Jake Paul.

Most Valuable Promotions which represents Jake has confirmed that an official announcement will be made next week. 

The UFC just completed a very successful pay per view card on 20 August in Salt Lake City, Utah. UFC 278 saw an epic Main Event where welterweight champion Kamaru Usman dominated most of the 5 round fight against Brit Leon Edwards. Edwards surprised everyone in the final minute of the fight when he knocked out the champ via a head kick. 

Edwards Will Defend Belt In The UK

Prior to the fight, Usman was on a 10 round win streak and had 5 successful title defenses. He was the betting favorite going into the fight, as he already had a victory over Edwards in 2015. 

Usman did not waste any time after his loss to call for a rematch against the new champ and Edwards readily agreed for the third fight. UFC President Dana White has confirmed that they are looking to make Edwards vs. Usman 3 most likely at the start of 2023. 

The UFC is currently looking to book the biggest stadium in the UK to host what is expected to be the biggest fight card in all of Europe. The UFC is looking at Wembley and might also look at the indoor Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales which can seat up to 75,000.
