WSOP Ontario Online Circuit Series

The series kicked off on October 1 and will run through October 16, featuring a massive $2.5 million guarantee. The minimum buy-in for the ring events is $50, while players can enter the non-ring events for as little as $21. The highest buy-in is set at $1,050.

But it isn’t the only tournament sporting a six-figure guarantee. Other key events, such as the $500 buy-in BIG 500 Kickoff, the $50 buy-in Housewarming, and the $840 buy-in Bounty Deepstack PLO, offer $100,000 in guaranteed prize money.

Lex Veldhuis has cemented his reputation as one of the most highly-respected poker ambassadors of this generation after what he did in response to a recent Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS) attack on PokerStars which resulted in the cancellation of multiple scheduled tournaments.

Veldhuis Answers Questions from Players

Due to the outage, PokerStars decided that the six Main Events running as part of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) would no longer push through, with the prizes to be awarded in line with its existing policy regarding tournament cancellation.

Understanding that a lot of poker players might be upset by the decision, Veldhuis, who currently serves as an ambassador for the site, stepped up to the plate and offered to answer any questions or concerns from those affected by the outage. He went live on his Twitch channel and accommodated questions from players, such as how the prizes would be distributed, whether the Main Events would be rescheduled, or whether the overlay and bounties would still be paid.

In the live, no-delay stream, Veldhuis tried his best to answer the questions one by one which was a huge help in allaying the worries among players. He also assured players that PokerStars would process refunds and compensation fairly just like what it has always done when tournaments are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Serious poker players pay careful attention to the loyalty program on offer when they consider joining a new online poker room. One of the top online poker rooms currently running a generous rewards system is Unibet Poker where players can earn as much as €3,000 in cash just by playing online poker tourneys, cash games, or Hexapro games.

Unibet Poker Loyalty System

Players can win rewards, bonus points, and other special perks by earning as many XP points as possible. Each loyalty level requires a certain number of points. The higher the level, the bigger the rewards. Upon reaching Level 2, players earn an extra 1% rakeback in bonus points. As they progress to the next level, their bonus points also increase depending on the bonus multiplier.

The biggest prizes are on offer at the 7th level, where players can win cash rewards ranging from €1,000 to €3,000, along with massive bonus points.

Unlock Special Sections of GameLab

Apart from that, players may also use the loyalty points they’ve earned to unlock special sections of Unibet’s new GameLab feature which allows users to view important statistics about their play and those of other players.

To check your loyalty standings and the required number of XP points for each level, simply click the profile icon in the lobby. You may visit Unibet’s website for more details.

GGPoker is running a brand-new tournament series next month, and small-stakes players should be excited as it is designed just for them!

Mini MILLION$ Series

The series is named Mini MILLION$ and runs from October 2 to October 17, but you can ignore the “mini” in the title as the festival features $5 million in combined guarantees, which is such a massive figure for a low-stakes series.

Buy-ins start at just $1.00, which means the series can accommodate virtually all bankrolls.

Main Highlights

The schedule is headlined by a $1 million-guaranteed Mystery Bounty tournament which costs just $10.50 to enter. It gets underway on October 6 and crowns a winner on October 17.

Other events that are not to be missed include the Omaholic Mini Bounty MILLION$ which takes place from October 2-10. This PLO tournament comes with a $5.25 entry fee and a guarantee of $100,000. The $5 buy-in, $300K GTD mini Global MILLION$ is also among the key events on the schedule and it also takes place on the opening day.

The Sunday Hundred Grand also offers a lot of value to players, awarding $101,000 in guarantee for an affordable buy-in of $11. The tournament takes place each Sunday throughout the festival (October 2, 9, and 16).
