Daniel Negreanu once again shared with his followers his final tournament stats for 2022. The GGPoker ambassador took a shot at a total of 107 events throughout the year and cashed in 23 of them, winning a total of $4,875,609. But just how much did he profit from that figure?
Negreanu Profited More Than $1.6M in 2022
In a recent Twitter post, Negreanu revealed that his average buy-in for the year stood at $30,136. All in all, he spent $3,224,564 to get into tournaments, and that left him with a profit of $1,625,545. Along with his latest winnings, the Canadian poker pro also shared his totals for the last 10 years, which show that his 2022 profit is his biggest since 2014.
Super High Roller Bowl Victory Made all the Difference
The year started quite badly for Negreanu who lost $1.1 million during the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) live festival. His earlier high roller exploits also didn’t turn out well. The tide began to turn in his favor in October when he took down the Super High Roller Bowl for a massive $3,312,000 payout.
He followed that up with an in-the-money finish in the record-breaking $10,000 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December where he placed 17th for $176,200.
The National League of Poker (NLOP) is marking its 16th anniversary this year and there would be no better way to celebrate that important milestone than to give back to players who have supported the platform all these years. The social gaming site continues its tradition of showering cash prizes via online poker freerolls during the holidays.

The long wait is over – PokerStars has announced it will finally merge its New Jersey and Michigan players on January 1, 2023. Under shared liquidity, players will have more games and tournaments to choose from, more promotions to enjoy, and most importantly, bigger prize pools to take a shot at!
A Better Experience for PokerStars US Players
The announcement is anticipated, with the operator performing a software update on its New Jersey and Michigan servers in early December. The move was understood to be in preparation for multi-state poker. PokerStars US Managing Director Severin Rasset says poker players and fans in both states will now enjoy a “better experience and even more value” as part of a single pool.
To mark the huge milestone, PokerStars will be running two special tournaments on New Year’s Day, with $150,000 in guaranteed prizes on offer. The operator has yet to release further details on giveaways and promotions, as well as tournament series that will be launched in celebration of the newly-formed network.
Shared Liquidity Comes to Michigan
PokerStars now officially becomes the first operator to connect its Michigan and New Jersey players, with BetMGM Poker and WSOP.com expected to follow suit.
In May 2022, Michigan became just the fourth state to be admitted to the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA), joining New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware.

Daily Satellites Available on GGPoker
The Main Event has an actual buy-in of £560, but players can get in for a much cheaper price via online qualifiers on GGPoker. At the moment daily satellites are running for only £25 (Monday – Saturday), with at least one Main Event seat up for grabs. They’re available until January 6.
Another option to qualify for the Main Event for a fraction of the price is through the UKPC Daily Dollar which costs just $1 to enter. A total of 60 players will receive a £560 Main Event ticket via this route and if you want to become one of them, you have until December 24 to take a shot.
£50K Worth of Extra Prizes for GGPoker Players
Apart from the online satellites, GGPoker will also be giving away £50,000 in extra value for players who enter the Main Event through Online Day 1 on GGPoker. The prize comes in the form of a free entry into the £25,000 UKPC Aftermath freeroll scheduled for January 19, as well as £25,000 worth of cash and merchandise during the live event.
Online starting flights for the Main Event will kick off on January 7, 2023.
