Perform Group, a digital sports media and content provider has entered into a deal to continue as the exclusive betting rights partner for the British Basketball League (BBL).

Although the terms of the agreement were not yet disclosed, it was confirmed that the deal will cover Perform Group’s Watch&Bet live streaming service and RunningBall fast data offering.

Perform is a complete sports content company, which partners with FIBA (International Basketball Federation) as well as several other rights holders, media owners, bookmakers and professional teams to produce and distribute content that transforms the way the world experiences sport.

Perform streamed live coverage of 242 BBL games on Live Basketball TV around the globe, as well as 32 games on the BBC Sport website in the original Perform and BBL agreement.   

Alex Rice, Chief Rights Officer at Perform, commented that they are delighted to have extended their partnership with BBL and believe this partnership illustrates Perform’s commitment to investing in global and British Basketball.

Rice went on to say that they are excited about the BBL plans and are looking forward to continuing as the exclusive betting rights partner.                                         

Bob Hope, Commercial Director of BBL said that he is so pleased that Perform has committed to BBL once again and agreed to continue as their exclusive betting rights partner.  He added that their commitment clearly shows the confidence that Perform has in the League.

Hope also said that the income generated by this partnership will underpin the financial security of the BBL and will give them the stability they require to expand their presence in the UK sporting market and beyond, as well as enable them to forge new partnerships in a range of commercial sectors.
