Big Bet Poker LIVE has issued an apology over an incident during its August 9 live-stream where a heated argument between two players led to threats and physical violence.  The team behind the cash game show has expressed regret that the confrontation occurred on stream and confirmed that the two players involved in the altercation have been banned from the stream for the time being.

Players Engaged in Physical Violence

During the live-stream in question, Los Angeles cash game player Austin Yoo and Stanford University graduate Jason Liu got into a heated dispute at the poker table which led to Liu threatening his opponent that he would kill him and his mother.

As if that wasn’t enough, the pair later engaged in physical violence off-stream and had to be separated by security.

Big Bet Poker LIVE Condemns Players’ Behavior

A source close to Big Bet Poker LIVE said the show condemns violence and the conduct of both players went against its goal of providing a safe atmosphere for high-stakes poker players of all backgrounds. While trash-talking is quite normal at the poker table, the two players “crossed the line”, according to the statement.

Created as a partial spinoff of the hugely popular Live at the Bike cash game show, Big Bet Poker LIVE streams its games from the Tropicana on the Las Vegas Strip.
