Maltese-based online sportsbook, Betway, has announced that it has entered into an agreement in terms of which it will become the primary sponsor for the eSports ESL Pro League 2017.

.The agreement will see Betway extend their partnership with the Electronic Sports League (ESL) to act as sponsor for the forthcoming ESL Pro League Season 6.

The sixth season of the CS:GO league, with matches being held three times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, will culminate in the ESL Pro League finals, which is due to be held in Odense, Denmark from 8th to 10th December 2017.

In July of this year, Betway sponsored ESL One Cologne by giving viewers access to live odds in its broadcast and providing unique video content and under the terms of the new sponsorship agreement, Betway will see the same deal applied to viewers of the ESL Pro League relationship.

Betway has become a member of the eSports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) in 2016 with the Company being a leading voice in eSports betting integrity.

Anthony Werkman, the Director of Marketing and Operations at Betway, commented that they are very excited for the next few months as some of the world’s best CS:GO players will battle it out for its biggest prize, the ESL Pro League, as well as the seven-figure prize pool.

Werkman went on to say that their experience sponsoring ESL One Cologne was a huge success, and the feedback they received from their first-of-its-kind live odds feeds into the broadcast has inspired them to increase their involvement across tournaments and teams in the coming months and years.
