Betway, one of the leading global companies in online betting and gaming is thrilled to announce that it has signed a multi-year renewal of the Croky Cup, Belgium’s main knockout football competition.

The agreement signed by the parties is an extension of the current agreement which commenced in 2016.

Anthony Werkman, the Chief Executive Officer at Betway, commented on the renewal by saying that the Pro League has been a fantastic partner of theirs for five years and they are delighted to extend their partnership of the Croky Cup.

He went on to say that the Cup has had five different winners in the last five years and continues to be an exciting competition in Belgium football.

Werkman also said that while there have been no crowds for the past two finals, they are looking forward to hopefully seeing the return of fans for the 2021-2022 edition.

In terms of the agreement, Betway will have a range of activation rights on Pro League channels and will have the opportunity to benefit from LED inventory at all televised games from Round 32, as well as more branding positions for the final.

According to Betway, the coverage is on FTA TV in Belgium, with the competition giving the company ‘desired exposure’.

Leander Monbaliu, CBO of Pro League said that this extension is a confirmation of the success story of the long-standing partnership between Betway and Pro League for the Cup – an exciting competition marked by heroic underdog wins and unexpected defeats leading to the much-anticipated cup final.  Monbaliu added that they look forward to continuing this great story with Betway.
