BetMakers, a leading online wagering solutions provider, has revealed that it has entered into an exclusive 10-year deal with the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen Association and Darby Development, which operates the Monmouth Park racetrack in Oceanport, in terms of which it will deliver and manage fixed-odds horseracing into the state.
The deal will also see the company being responsible for providing a solution for racing bodies from the US to access licensed bookmakers operating in New Jersey.
Dennis Drazin, Chief Executive Officer of Monmouth Park, commented that they have been instrumental in the roll-out of sports betting into the US and now they will be the driver of Fixed Odds horse racing in New Jersey and hopefully throughout the US.
Drazin went on to say that they selected BetMakers as their partner in delivering this concept due to their extensive knowledge and understanding of what is required to make this a success.
Todd Buckingham, Chief Executive Officer at BetMakers, said that they have been working with racing bodies and bookmakers from all parts of the world to develop the best solution that fits into the horse racing ecosystem.
Buckingham also said that they believe that US horse racing has the potential to be the largest betting sport in the US, including basketball, American football and baseball.. He added that there is a real opportunity for the US horse racing market to grow like it has in Australia, wh ich has seen prize money levels double over the past seven-to-ten years based on a funding model that is equitable to all participants.
