Aspire Global, a leading international online gaming company, has announced that it has signed a deal in terms of which it will acquire.

Sportsbook Technology Provider BtoBet for an initial payment of €20m (£18.3m / $23/6m), enabling the supplier to expand its business into the Sports Betting vertical.

The deal signed by the parties consists of a payment of €15m in cash at the closing of the deal with a further payment of €5m twelve months after the deal closes.

It is anticipated that the deal will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, and have a favorable effect on Aspire Global’s EBITDA in 2021.

Aspire Global has revealed that the acquisition forms an important part of its global growth strategy, and a big step in creating an offering that covers the main elements of the B2B iGaming value chain complementing last year’s acquisition aggregator and games studio Pariplay.

Alessandro Fried, Founder and Shareholder of BtoBet, commented that he is truly enthusiastic by the opportunities they see by becoming part of Aspire Global, the powerhouse for iGaming operators.

Fried added that with their joined forces they will take this new global iGaming offering in every corner of the earth.

Recently the MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings’ joint venture introduced iGaming to its continuing partnership with The Greenbrier in West Virginia, following the opening up of the Mountain State’s virtual doors to online casino on 15th July 2020.

A change in marketing regulations recently saw football clubs forbidden to display the logos of gambling companies together with that of any company offering lending or credit services.  This caused difficulties around sponsorships for a number of teams.

The nation’s ombudsman defended the legislation commenting that the display of gambling and bank-related logos within any vicinity would be classed as a breach of the law.
