Evolution Gaming acquired NetEnt at the end of December 2020 after which all live casino games of NetEnt were immediately closed and the employees of NetEnt were put on the street.

Microgaming has hired former NetEnt’s employees who have a lot of knowledge about live games.

Microgaming has now revealed that it will be developing its own live casino as the acquisition resulted in the number of live suppliers being reduced significantly. The company’s live games should go online next year.

As from the first quarter of 2022 Microgaming’s live games are due to go online in all online casinos where Microgaming is present.

In January 2021 Microgaming entered into a partnership with One Air Entertainment – specialists in the technology involved in a live casino.

On Air Entertainment is headquartered in Malta and owns a number of live casino studios which are located in Estonia and Latvia.

Microgaming will be working very hard behind the scenes in the coming year in order to develop its own live casino games.

For years Microgaming has been one of the market leaders in the online casino world but live casino games was missing until now.

Microgaming will endeavor to compete with Evolution Gaming, which will be quite a challenge as the company has been staving the market for a number of years.
