Dafabet has announced that it has entered into a deal that will see it serve as the prime sports betting partner in Asia for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague as well as the 7DAYS EuroCup.
The new deal, that runs throughout the 2020-21 Euroleague season marks Dafabet’s first sponsorship deal in basketball with the partnership agreement including the Euroleague Basketball intellectual property rights in Asia as well as a brand integration in EuroLeague and EuroCup game broadcasts. Dafabet will also become a visible presence in digital and social media content for both competitions.
Jordi Bertomeu, the President and Chief Executive Officer at Euroleague Basketball, commented on the deal by saying that they are extremely grateful that Dafabet is joining their family of partners and recognizes their ability to deliver a wide and diverse audience of devoted fans.
Bertomeu went on to say that the fact that they and other partners are coming to them from well outside their traditional markets shows again that the passionate brand of basketball played in the EuroLeague and the EuroCup is attractive well beyond the countries where their teams play their games.
Dimitris Karatzas, Chief Executive Officer of Dafabet, said that this agreement with Euroleague is their first step into basketball, and they look forward to a long and successful partnership with a very professional organization.
John Cruces, Head of Sponsorships at Dafabet added that they are very proud to be partnering with Euroleague.
Cruces also said that basketball is viewed worldwide and one of the most followed sports across all continents. He added that by partnering with Euroleague Basketball, they believe it will help them increase their global footprint.
