Sportech, a leading tote betting solutions provider, has announced that it has entered into a new agreement with Racecourse Media Group (RMG) in terms of which it will provide commingling pool betting services through its European Quantum Data and Operations Center.
The deal will also see RMG, which is the holding company responsible for 34 racecourse shareholders in the United Kingdom utilize Sportech’s software in order to facilitate pool commingling between racecourses in the United Kingdom and Ireland as well as RMG’s global partners.
Nick Mills, the Commercial Director of Racecourse Media Group, commented on The deal by saying that this new agreement will further bolster RMG’s reputation at delivering the best possible global reach for their shareholder racecourses, while at the same time, significantly growing wagering opportunities on their horseracing around the world.
Bruno Gay, Sportech’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development EMEA, said that the supplier was pleased to extend its relationship and help RMG strengthen and expand their reach in international markets.
Gay went on to say that reliable solutions for commingling are critically important as racing and betting operators adjust their strategies to include expanded distribution and Sportech are proud to be at the forefront of this trend with partners like RMG.
Following a period of inactivity that was caused by the novel coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic, horse racing in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales returned behind closed doors in June.
Sportech is a world leader in the highly-regulated global gaming technology sector, holding a dominant position in pari-mutuel pools betting and exclusive licenses in Connecticut, USA.
