PointsBet, a leading online sports betting operator, has announced that it has entered into a partnership with National Basketball Association franchise the Indiana Pacers and has also confirmed the locations for three new off-track betting facilities in Illinois.
PointBet USA opened in New Jersey in January of last year before expanding to Indiana in March.
In terms of the multi-year deal with the Pacers, PointsBet will serve as an official sports gaming partner of the team.
The new agreement also allows for PointsBet USA branding within Bankers Life Fieldhouse, as well as on court’s apron which is the out-of-bounds space between the baseline and the team bench which is a first-of-its-kind arrangement. PointsBet signage will be visually displayed throughout the arena, and the sports-book operator will have a presence on the Pacers’ digital platforms.
Johnny Aitken, Chief Executive Officer of PointsBet USA, issued a news release stating that Indiana represents a massive opportunity for PointsBet and they will take a heavily localized approach to ensure they are delivering the best overall customer experience Indiana sports fans and bettors are seeking.
Aitken went on to say that they are very excited to bolster their presence within the Hoosier State and surrounding areas, as well as to Indiana Pacers fans around the globe via this unique partnership.
Rick Fuson, President and Chief Operating Office of the franchise’s parent company, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, said the corporate partnership ‘represents a real win’ for both companies.
Fusion also said that they look forward to welcoming PointsBet as a very visible brand at the Fieldhouse and through their various channels.
