Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has announced that it has boosted its sports-book offering by entering into a content deal with 1X2 Network in terms of which it will add the group’s entire virtual sports offering to their platform.
GiG will now give operators the opportunity to offer their players a chance to engage on-demand and connect with their favorite sports virtually in the same manner as they would with live sports, increasing their betting options. The group’s new virtual portfolio includes instant horse racing, auto races, greyhound races, cycling, football, tennis, trotting, Velodrome, speedway as well as scheduled horse racing and tennis.
The ongoing novel coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis has resulted in the cancellation and postponement of several major sporting events with punters across the globe currently facing limited sports betting options.
1X2 Network specializes in virtual sports and has been pioneering soft gaming content for over twenty years and is well-known for its high end, realistic gaming applications.
Chris Armes, Chief Information Officer at Gaming Innovation Group, commented that partnering with 1X2 Network allows them to offer a quality virtual sports portfolio with realistic 3D games for some of the most popular on-demand sports betting games.
Armes went on to say that this allows operators to increase their offering placing them at the forefront of sports betting.
The launch follows Betsson Group’s announcement recently that it had gained approval from anti-trust regulators to proceed with its planned acquisition of GiG’s assets. The deal is scheduled to go through by the middle of this month.
